Romantasy

The War of Two Queens by Jennifer L. Armentrout

The books in this series are huge and a lot happens in them. Like a lot a lot. So much so that it can be overwhelming and hard to keep track from the beginning to the end. The main things to take from this are: Malik was staying with the queen because one of the Revenants is his heartmate, but she doesn't know it. That same Revenant is also Poppy's older sister and she hides their connection with some bad hair dye. Cas finds out before Poppy and when she saves him he is the one to tell her. They do save Cas. Also, Poppy decides to complete the bond with Cas and Kieran so now all of their lives are tied to hers. Then we get the battle and somehow Poppy is also Sera, the consort of Nyktos. So now Poppy is the true Primal of Life and Death. It didn't make any sense to me. Also, somehow during the battle everyone on Team Poppy that was killed was brought back to life. But, what's important is that Cas and Kieran are still alive and both free. So far I am still enjoying the series, but I have heard that it does start to go off the rails a bit.
