Luc was fine in the previous book but he was horrible in this one! He was not dreamy at all. Luc and Alyssa had a great night together in the previous book and he promised that he would be a guest chef at her restaurant when it opened. So, he shows up and they have amazing chemistry and of course he sleeps with her again. He doesn't use protection because he is sterile. They can't keep their hands off of each other especially since he's staying in her house. But, he is convinced that she has been sleeping with Tyler, her bodyguard. She's also getting threats in the form of knives stabbed through threatening messages. She also has a politician that protests outside of her strip club constantly. Luc leaves after his week is done and they don't see or hear from each other. She shows up at a book signing, he breaks up with his girlfriend on the spot, Alyssa tells him she's pregnant. He is sterile so he decides that Tyler must be the father, but he is desperate for kids so he immediately asks her to marry him. They get married and he is still calling and insinuating that she's a whore. She tells him about being raped as a teenager but he doesn't open up about his sterility. The crazy politician traps her in her club and sets it on fire. Tyler and Hunter get her out and to the hospital and Kimber, who is there to check on her brother who got shot in the process, tells her about Luc being sterile. Luc shows up from LA where he was taping a cooking show and they fight and she kicks him out. She gets attacked in her home, by her rapist who hired Tyler to find her. Luc is already on his way there and manages to save her and kill the rapist before he can hurt her again. They are cleared of any wrongdoing and reconcile. Everything about this pissed me off. So far this series has not been as good as the spin off and that had some of the dumbest characters I've ever met.
