This book had no plot. None. Then, at about 75% of the way through, the author decided to throw in some high stakes conflict. The plot of the book was threesome. That's it. Kimber shows up to Deke and Luke's house to ask Deke to teach her about threesomes because the man she thinks she's in love with (a popstar) lives that lifestyle and she wants to be ready for him. He says I could show you better than tell you, after explaining all of the details. She agrees to live with them for two weeks on the condition that they don't take her virginity because she wants to show up to Jesse prepared, but still chaste. They then Eiffel Tower the girl making her virginity semantics. She catches feelings for Deke but he says he doesn't reciprocate and she leaves. She goes to Jesse and he won't even kiss her because he wants her to stay pure. Then, he brings her out at the end of one of his concerts and announces their engagement, without even asking her. Later that same night she finds with engaging in a threesome. She packs her stuff and leaves. She goes back home and is staying at her dad's house when the house explodes. She runs into the fire and drags him to safety. Deke and Luke show up; her brothers aren't happy about this because they know what kinds of things they are into and the don't want their sister involved. But, she is also being threatened so the three of them head to Jack's house in the swamp. And she falls more in love with Deke after giving up her virginity to him, with the help of Lukes' manipulations. But, Deke has baggage; his high school girlfriend killed herself when she found out she was pregnant. He blames himself. Then, we find out that Luke has been so invested in finding a woman for the two of them because he can't have kids; he was sick as a teenage and it rendered him sterile. They finally get the all clear and she goes home. Then, she finds out she's pregnant and Deke doesn't handle it well. She shows up to her house to talk but there's no answer. He finds her window open and hears noise so he calls 911, but they are already on the way because she managed to call before she got attacked. Deke saves her from the popstars manager, who was going to kill her because she was ruining the singers life and brand. She ends up in the hospital and in front of her brothers he tells the nurse that she's pregnant. They don't handle it well. Come to find out, she wasn't - it was a false positive. Deke finally tells her about his past and she helps him through it and they end up together, just the two of them. This was so dumb and way longer than it needed to be.
