This book was better than the previous one; this had action and actually moved the plot forward! Katy is gone. Daemon is not handling it well. He goes to Luke who says he can get him out, if he goes in - as long as he gets something for him. Daemon agrees and gets himself caught. Meanwhile, Katy has been forced to fight, but she hasn't participated. Until Blake shows up. She kills him. Daemon arrives and they are experimented on together. Katy manages to get the think Daemon is after and Archer, one of her guards, gets them out. They join up with Luke and expose themselves in Vegas. They end up in a cabin and things are fine, everyone is together, everyone is safe. Then, there are meteors. More Lux show up. Daemon, Dawson, and Dee all leave, but not before Dawson tells Daemon that Bethany is pregnant. And that's where the book ends. This not only moved the plot forward, it raised the stakes, and set up the final book.
